Post-stroke Tech Study

The goal of this study is to see if a participant can use a Samsung Tablet, a Galaxy Watch, and a Bluetooth Blood Pressure Cuff to monitor their vitals and communicate with their health care team.

This study is designed for adults who...

  • have had a stroke
    are being discharge home from the BRU
  • It may not be safe to participate if you...

    do not speak English fluently

Key activities

You will be asked to...

Bring home a Harman Samsung Technology Kit after you are trained how to use it.
Use the Kit at home for approximately 90 days. During this time you will:
Log into the Samsung Tablet daily and answer two questions
Wear a Samsung Galaxy Watch daily
Take your blood pressure with the Bluetooth cuff.
Participate in phone check ins with study staff.
Bring the Kit back when you return to Johns Hopkins for your 3-month follow-up
Meet with a study team member as part of your follow-up visit

You should know...

Participation is your choice and you can stop any time
Participation will not change your routine health care
If you experience certain changes to your health or must take other medications, you may be told you can no longer participate.
