Phone-based Recording of Eye Movements

  • The goal of this study is to test the capabilities of smartphone to measure abnormal eye movements and detect abnormal movement coordination in patients with stroke.

Who can participate?

This study is designed for adults who...

  • experienced a stroke that resulted in dizziness, abnormal eye movements, vomiting, and/or incoordination in walking and performing physical tasks

When do I start?

Participation starts 72 hours (3 days) after your stroke

How long will I be followed?

  • Critical Care
  • Stroke Center
  • Discharge

You will be asked to...

Look at different targets
Walk, sit, and stand
Your eye and body movements will be recorded with a smartphone camera

Participation is your choice and you can stop any time
Participation will not change your routine health care
If you experience certain changes to your health or must take other medications, you may be told you can no longer participate.
