  • The goal of this study is to learn about cognitive performance after stroke via telephone interview

Who can participate?

This study is designed for adults who...

  • have just had a stroke
    have had an MRI with contrast-based perfusion imaging as part of their clinical evaluation
  • It may not be safe to participate if you...

    are unable to get a magnetic resonance image (MRI) safely
    are unable to communicate over the phone

When do I start?

Participation starts 3 months after your stroke

How long will I be followed?

  • Critical Care
  • Stroke Center
  • Discharge

Key activities

You will be asked to...

Perform some cognitive tasks and answer questions to assess cognitive abilities such as memory
Complete assessments by phone every 6 months for 3 years

Participation is your choice and you can stop any time
Participation will not change your routine health care
If you experience certain changes to your health or must take other medications, you may be told you can no longer participate.
